WVFRM partnered with Toyota and Harlsan Industries to document a significant operational transformation driven by Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies. Harlsan, a respected regional manufacturer servicing the mining sector, was seeking a structured approach to increase production output, streamline workflows and build a culture of continuous improvement.

Toyota stepped in as a hands-on partner, guiding Harlsan through the introduction of key TPS systems, from workflow visualisation and waste reduction strategies to standardised processes and improved team communication. This collaboration brought a level of operational discipline and efficiency that reshaped how Harlsan’s factory functioned day-to-day.

To capture this story, WVFRM produced a cinematic case-study video filmed on-site in Kalgoorlie. The film combines real manufacturing operations, interviews with Toyota and Harlsan leadership, and visual examples of TPS in action. The narrative showcases how the partnership improved production output, enhanced teamwork, reduced bottlenecks and modernised Harlsan’s operational mindset.

Challenge

Harlsan Industries wanted to improve production efficiency, workflow consistency and overall output across their Kalgoorlie manufacturing facility. Although they were committed to operational excellence, they lacked a structured, systemised approach, and a clear way to demonstrate how adopting the Toyota Production System (TPS) was benefiting their business.
